Benjamin C. Halliburton, CFA
Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Benjamin Halliburton is a founder and Chief Investment Officer of Tradition Capital Management and Building Benjamins where he oversees the investment research and strategy. He heads the Investment Committee and covers the Energy and Technology sectors. Mr. Halliburton has over a quarter of a century of professional investing experience including ten years at Brundage, Story and Rose where he was BS&R’s Director of Research and responsible for overseeing the firm’s equity selection process. He was a principal of the firm and a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee. He also designed, developed and managed BS&R’s successful Disciplined Growth Strategy. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and earned an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in 1990, where he was distinguished as a Fuqua Scholar. He earned a BS degree from Vanderbilt University, graduating magna cum laude in 1985, and graduated Salutatorian from the McCallie School.
Frani Feit, CFP®
Ms. Feit is an Investment Adviser and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. She is responsible for managing the delivery of investment services to clients along with the selection of investments to be deployed in client accounts. Ms. Feit works with clients to tie both their financial and personal goals together with their investment allocation, time horizon and related tax implications. Prior to joining Tradition she was a Financial Planner at Graf Financial Advisors, a boutique planning and investment management firm. She began her career at Laventhol and Horwath, CPA’s and subsequently was a Pension Consultant with Consulting Actuaries, Inc. working with individual and corporate retirement plans. Ms. Feit graduated from The George Washington University with a Business degree in Accounting. She is a graduate of the Fairleigh Dickinson University Financial Planning Program, where she serves as an Adjunct Professor. After becoming widowed in 2002, Frani founded the DFM Foundation whose mission is benefiting youth activities. She has two grown children and enjoys pilates and snorkeling.
Michael Ciccone, CFP®
Mr. Ciccone is an Investment Adviser and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner at Tradition Capital Management where he develops and implements comprehensive financial plans to align a client’s spending, savings, investment allocations, and other elements to support their financial goals. He is also involved in investment selection, portfolio modeling and customization, and rebalancing – as well as sourcing and implementing new technology to improve our service offerings. Mr. Ciccone completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ program at William Paterson University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Business Administration and as the top student in the program for the year. While in college, he co-founded the first official Student Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and served as its inaugural Vice President. Michael resides in Somerset County and outside of work he enjoys unwinding with a good book, traveling with his wife, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Digital Marketing Manager
Ms. Mazzouccolo is the Digital Marketing Manager for Tradition Capital. In her role, she manages the marketing, social media, and public relations for the firm. Prior to Tradition, Ms. Mazzouccolo was the marketing manager at Securities Service Network, Inc., an independent broker dealer. She started her career at Delta Life and Annuity Company and subsequently as a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors. Ms. Mazzouccolo earned her B.S.B.A. in Finance from the University of Tennessee. She is active in her community and volunteers as both a troop leader and service unit manager for the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians.
Adam M. Levy
Global Investment Officer
Mr. Levy is a Managing Director and Investment Committee member responsible for managing Tradition’s Fixed Income Portfolios. He also serves as Associate Chief Investment Officer at Building Benjamins. He actively manages both taxable and non-taxable portfolios in strategies ranging from Enhanced Cash to Core Plus. He also works on macro-economic analysis as it impacts broad financial markets and fixed income markets. In addition, he contributes his perspective and experience to the asset allocation and manager selection process for outsourced asset management.
Mr. Levy possesses over fifteen years of direct market knowledge gained from researching, trading and overseeing portfolios invested across the capital structure. Prior to joining Tradition, he worked with institutional and high net worth clients independently and for Overbrook Management Company, a multi-generational family office. Mr. Levy managed taxable and non-taxable fixed income accounts for foundations, pension funds and family office clients. He also researched and selected managers for portfolios comprised of fixed income and equity mutual funds. Prior to joining Overbrook, Mr. Levy worked in equity research at Epoch Partners, a technology focused investment bank where he covered the Consumer and Internet Technology sectors. At Citigroup (formerly Salomon Brothers), he analyzed risk exposure and option hedging strategies for both the proprietary equity derivatives trading desk and high net worth clients. Before joining Salomon Brothers, Mr. Levy analyzed fixed income trading portfolios for the Market Analysis Group at Credit Lyonnais Securities.
He earned a BS with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Mr. Zager is the Controller and Manager of Human Resources at Tradition. Prior to Tradition, Mr. Zager was President and CEO of Ansam Metals, a merchant and processor of non-ferrous metals. Before his 27 years in the metals business, he was a practicing C.P.A. for the firm of KatzAbosch in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Zager continues to hold an inactive CPA license in the State of Maryland. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The George Washington University.
Mrs. Kelly is a Senior Marketing Associate and is responsible for the construction of the firm’s composites, performance calculation and GIPS verification process. Mary maintains all third-party databases as well as all RFP submissions. She joined Tradition in 2005 as a portfolio administrator responsible for reconciling accounts and opening new accounts. Mary earned a BA degree from Rutgers University.
Mr. Ely is a Managing Director of Tradition Capital Management. He manages portfolios for individuals at Tradition Capital Management. In addition he is a contributor to Tradition’s research process, focusing on industry and economic trends. Mr. Ely was a Managing Director and one of the founding members of Haven Capital Management. In addition to equity and economic research, he managed portfolios for individual clients. Mr. Ely began his career at Kuhn Loeb & Co. where he became a Partner in charge of the firm’s Investment Advisory Department. He joined Haven’s predecessor as a Principal, and was a member of the original group that founded Haven. He graduated from Princeton University with a BA in History, and attended the Graduate School of Business at New York University.
Mr. Turko is a Managing Director of Tradition Capital Management, where he contributes to the research and portfolio management process. Mr. Turko works on both the Dividend Value Strategy and the All-Cap Advantage portfolio management teams. Mr. Turko was a Managing Director and a founding member of Haven Capital Management. He was a Principal in the group that was spun out of Goldman Sachs to form the predecessor to Haven. His role at Haven cut across all aspects of the investment process and management of portfolios. In addition, he coordinated the firm’s institutional business development. He graduated from Yale University with a BS in Engineering, and from Columbia University with an MBA. Mr. Turko is active in community and educational affairs as a member of the Investment Committee of Overlook Hospital Foundation and the Summit Area YMCA. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Deerfield Academy, where he served as Chairman of both the Finance and Investment Committees. He is also active in Yale alumni affairs.
Alan J. Reef
Mr. Reef is a Managing Director and member of Tradition Capital’s Investment Committee. He is also a member of the All-Cap Advantage Strategy portfolio manager team. Mr. Reef’s direct analyst responsibilities are money center banks and insurance companies. Prior to joining Tradition, he was President, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Overbrook Management Company, a 67 year-old family office, where he was responsible for the firm’s investments and management of the company. Before Overbrook, Mr. Reef was a Managing Director, Director of Research and member of the Investment Policy Committee at Brundage, Story & Rose. Mr. Reef began his investment career at Lehman Management Company, then a division of Lehman Brothers. Lehman’s institutional business became Ark Asset Management. Mr. Reef worked for thirteen years at Ark and its predecessor where he rose to Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager. He earned a BS from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School with honors and an MBA with Distinction from New York University’s Stern School. Mr. Reef is active in community affairs and sits on various investment and finance committees.
Christopher J. Trompeter, CFA
Mr. Trompeter is Chief Operating Officer and works on Tradition’s Investment Committee. Mr. Trompeter is also an analyst responsible for the Consumer Discretionary sector and regional banks. He is a founder and principal of the firm and has over three decades of investment management experience. Prior to Tradition Capital Management, Mr. Trompeter was a senior portfolio manager at Brundage, Story and Rose, where he was a member of the Core Stock Selection Group and the Technology Research Group. Mr. Trompeter’s extensive experience includes Citibank Global Asset Management, where he was a senior portfolio manager. Mr. Trompeter began his career at Bankers Trust Company in 1978 managing equity, balanced and fixed income portfolios for institutional clients. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. Mr. Trompeter graduated from St. Lawrence University with B.A. degrees in Economics and Government.
Michael C. Provine, J.D., LL.M
Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Provine is a principal, founder, and lead Investment Adviser for Tradition Capital Management. He works with clients to design and implement investment strategies for their portfolios. Mr. Provine also works with clients to make certain their trust and estate plans are designed to best carry out their wishes as he did for the clients of Brundage, Story and Rose for the nine years prior to his founding Tradition Capital Management. Mr. Provine utilizes his legal training for reviews of clients’ financial, retirement and estate planning arrangements, and prepares recommendations for execution by their legal, accounting, and insurance professionals. Mr. Provine was President of The Boston Safe Deposit and Trust Company of New York. He earned a law degree and an advanced tax degree from Temple University and is a licensed attorney. He is also a graduate of St. Joseph’s University. Mr. Provine is a current member of the Board of Governors of the Investment Adviser Association. Headquartered in Washington DC, the IAA provides advocacy, education and resources to the investment adviser industry throughout the United States. Mike and his wife, Maggie, have three grown sons and enjoy vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Sharon C. Buccafusco
Associate Compliance Officer
Ms. Buccafusco has been with Tradition since 2007 with responsibility for maintaining both client and custodian account relationships, and assisting in structuring all aspects of the client experience. Prior to joining, Ms. Buccafusco served as an Assistant Vice President at JPMorgan Chase in the Investment Bank. During her 34 year tenure, she held positions as a financial analyst, Operations Manager, Product Manager, and Financial Controller in the Operations, Cash Management, and Investment Bank. Responsible for the maintenance of the regulatory compliance procedures of the firm, she is currently pursuing the Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP®) designation, an industry-wide recognized educational achievement for Investment Advisers Compliance Professionals. Sharon and her husband, Dom, have one grown daughter. She enjoys traveling and spending time in the Catskill and Berkshire mountains.
Chip Wieczorek, CFP®
Mr. Wieczorek is an Investment Adviser at Tradition Capital Management. He works with clients to design and implement investment strategies for their portfolios. Mr. Wieczorek also works with clients to make certain their trust and estate plans are designed to best carry out their wishes. With almost a decade of experience in the financial services industry, he brings a broad range of experience to TCM. Prior to joining TCM he was a Vice President at Beacon Trust Company for over five years where he was a member of the Officers Trust Committee. Mr. Wieczorek was a financial planning specialist at Smith Barney where he was responsible for business development, planning and trading of client accounts. He is a member of the Northern New Jersey Estate Planning Council and sat on the golf committee for the Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, NJ. Mr. Wieczorek holds a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in Accounting from Rutgers University. He also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Chip resides in Far Hills with his wife and 3 children and enjoys playing hockey and golf.
Mrs. Cohen joined Tradition Capital Management as Portfolio Administrator in October of 2012. Prior to joining Tradition Capital Management, Mrs. Cohen worked at MB Investment Partners for 23 years as Portfolio Administrator and Vice President of Operations. In her current role she is responsible for reconciling, generating performance and quarterly reports and providing excellent client service.
Marc Davis, CFA
Mr. Davis is an industry research analyst working on the Health Care and Consumer Staples sectors for Tradition Capital Management. He works on the Investment Committee. Mr. Davis joined Tradition in 2002 and started his investment management career in equity research at Brundage, Story and Rose where he was a junior equity analyst following Health Care, Consumer Staples and Financial companies. He was also a member of the firm’s Health Care and Basic Materials industry working groups. He earned a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the New York Bar. Mr. Davis graduated from Columbia College in 1985 and earned his JD degree from the New York University School of Law in 1989.
Mr. Welch is head trader and oversees the firm’s trading function. He joined Tradition in 2010 as a portfolio administrator in operations with responsibilities for the portfolio management system reconciliation and reporting. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Financial Planner at AXA Equitable assisting individuals with wealth management strategies, annuities, long-term care policies and life insurance where he utilized his series 7, series 66 and health and life insurance licenses. Mr. Welch graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics.
Mr. Kearney works with Tradition as a marketing and operations associate. Pat provides administrative support across a broad array of functional areas. He previously worked on a trade desk at Prudential Financial. Pat holds an MS in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University and an MBA from Fordham University and is currently studying for the CPA exam.
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Martin is a Vice President of Operations in charge of meeting individual and operations department goals. Previous to that he was responsible for overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable, information technology, human resources, daily reconciliation, opening new accounts, and providing guidance to new employees within the operations department. A graduate of Geneva College, where he earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics, Mr. Martin has been with Tradition Capital Management since 2001.
Mr. Richardson is an Investment Adviser at Tradition Capital Management. He works with clients to provide Tradition’s full range of investment and wealth management capabilities. Mr. Richardson has over 3 decades of financial experience including 15 years at JP Morgan Chase where he managed the Family Wealth and Investment Advisor division of the Global Private Bank. He also held Managing Director positions focused on wealth management for high net worth clients at HSBC and BNY Mellon; and was a Regional Sales Manager at Lazard Asset Management. Mr. Richardson holds a B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University. Bob resides in Upper Montclair NJ with his wife and 3 children. He enjoys mountain biking, hiking, tennis, golf and anything with his family or golden retriever.
